Please Describe Your Project In Detail | Corri Bischer LLC DBA Wealth Incubator Network We have a 15 desk co-working space. Our office provides desk space, office amenities, a business address, a training and event space for our tenants and community. Our purpose is to provide a co-working space for underserved businesses to work together and receive financial training specifically for start-ups or recently opened businesses. This is to prepare them, strictly from a financial perspective to be fundable, sustainable, and scalable. These funds will provide us the opportunity to provide additional monthly and weekly workshops and training for our community, including youth entrepreneurs. We are completely committed to our community as we know the small business is what drives the economy. We want to ensure they know how to start, stay in business, grow and be a financial success for their family, community, and the economy. |
Please explain how your project meets the requirements of the American Rescue Plan | Our project meets the requirements because we are dedicated to helping small businesses start, sustain, and scale their businesses. We are providing opportunities to meet with other businesses that are able to mentor and guide them to success. Though we are still affected by COVID 19, we have learned some skills and strategies that have enabled us to change focuses and how we do things in business. These changes have made it possible for retail businesses to learn how to serve their clients online. |

What milestones would you use to measure your project’s progress? | We have several milestones that would measure our success. One, the renovation of our new downtown space would be a tremendous milestone for our organization. We will be able to service more business owners and allow more owners into the training and workshops. Two would be the pre-leasing of our new office and desk space. We currently have 20 desk spaces available and 10 beauty and spa suites. In addition, we have commercial kitchen space for rent to caterers, those with food trucks, and restaurants take-out only cooking. Third, a great milestone would be sending out a Request For Proposal for speakers, business owners, trainers and others that wish to share their resources and strategies. |
How would you ensure accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle? | We would ensure accountability by creating a culture of helping one another. If you cannot or do not trust the people that you are around, then you need to change who you are around. Our program will be transparent because after signing a non-disclosure agreement, we will have the opportunity to read one another's proposals and plans. We will collectively give pointers, ask questions or suggestions on how to improve one another's project. We will create a culture that we all win when we support one another. |
If successful, how would your project benefit the community? | Our project is based on what the community needs, a strong economy. Our local businesses help one another. By creating a culture of understanding and collaborative economics we will see how closely related our financial strength is. Our project will strengthen our local economy. It will improve the lives of many low-income families as the parents do have a business idea, but need help and guidance to make them successful. |
How will you attract community buy-in for your project? | We will have community buy-in because we have attended many business networking events and asked the question," what could help you with your business/' All of the issues we have addressed were brought to us through surveys and questionnaires from local businesses. We will have monthly networking opportunities for owners to be able to network. We will reach out to the Diversity Office of Chattanooga. This will be a great collaboration with our network of investors. We will also work closely with the Urban League and Chattanooga Small Business Group. We are looking forward to some great collaborations in both the city government and private sectors. |
