Please Describe Your Project In DetailProviding resource assistance to the community mostly impacted by the pandemic through various means. While our primary focus is providing resources to homebuyers/homeowners facing foreclosure, we realize there is a need to expand our reach and provide the homeless with resources to move them off the streets. Through access to a temporary facility where they can stay for a period of time while getting the assistance (government, adult education, financial literacy, back to work program, nutrition planning, etc) they require to get them back onto their feet. We would like to do this portion by providing a tiny home community for our homeless veterans who served their country and now need their country to service them.

Families also need help to access resources from affordable childcare, afterschool program with tutoring, financial literacy to include household budgeting and COVID-19 testing and supply distribution points in their communities.

Giving the community a plan helps to strenghten the community at-large, giving the true resources needed which allows families to get back to work, keep families together and creates the possibility to homeownership eventually. Being a resource to the community also helps create a more conducive channel for small businesses to flourish in the community. Homes owned in the community contribute to the economic growth of the community. The community needs a plan not just dollars.
Please explain how your project meets the requirements of the American Rescue PlanAs set forth under the Interim Rule, "these resources lay the foundation for a strong, equitable economic recovery, not only by providing immediate economic stabilization for households and businesses, but also by addressing the systemic public health and economic challenges that may have contributed to more severe impacts of the pandemic among low-income communities and people of color."

If successful, how would your project benefit the community? Our projects will provide needed resources to the community directly in the community and be for the community. We aim to see the homeless population reduced, children in a safe place to be kids off the streets, a healthier body, mind, soul and financially for the members of the community. Renters becoming homeowners who possess the skills to continue forward with a thriving community. Creating an economic comeback where small businesses can be invited to come in and provide not just jobs but fill in the gaps still needed such as fresh food sources.
How will you attract community buy-in for your project?Holding community townhalls to work with the residents as well as the district councilpersons. This would allow the residents to provide their feedback since it is the community residents that know more about what is needed than those living outside their community. We would make it a practice to seek community feedback each step in the TO-BE project plan and have an agreement with the community on expected outcomes for each facet of the project as needed.
