Please Describe Your Project In Detail | Our need to establish The Growth House and The Development House adequate funding, policies and procedures, licensing insurance, passing the inspection and application process, qualified staff, safety equipment, and furniture and supplies. a suitable location, Our project will consist of two private residents for the children or young people who can not live with their families, due to obvious reasons, mental health, troubled teens or those in transition between foster homes. One group home will be specifically for Fe Male age range 11-17, and the second group home will be for Males age range 11-17. Each group home will house 8 to 12 individuals. We will hire trained caregivers to work 24 hour shifts a day. We also we have two night managers for each group home. A weekend activity coordinator, and four part time skilled teachers. Two of the teachers will be specifically detailed to the Male group home and the remaining two will be detailed to the Fe Male group home. We will also have on staff a certified occupational health nurse. The treatment that we will provide is the primary focus on improving self esteem teaching new life skills and holding each individual accountable for their behavior. We will also offer specialize treatment for specific issues such as substance abuse inappropriate sexual behavior domestic violence and teen pregnancy. Our programs will include- anger management, youth development, drug education, family therapy, group therapy, individual therapy, and individualized behavior programs. Our meal program will consist of foods such as whole grain fruit vegetables and a low fat dietary. The residents will have a snack that feature healthy choices. Residents will not be allowed to have pop or Candy at the group home. At The Growth and The Development House we will make a positive contribution to the youth diets and health, with a emphasis on serving fruits and vegetables as the primary snacks, and water as the primary beverage. Each house will consider the timing of group meals, nutritional needs, and the youth age group when determining meal and snack availability. Breakfast lunch and snacks will be provided seven days a week. Our mission of this program is to enhance the well being of children, individuals, families, and the community. |
Please explain how your project meets the requirements of the American Rescue Plan | We meet the requirements due to the needs of community service that plays a crucial role and promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma discrimination supporting recovery and social inclusion, and preventing youth mental health disorders. Mental health services and substance use disorder services, including for individuals experiencing trauma. In addition to the extensive federal eligibility requirements, the City of Chattanooga is focused on time-limited investments that catalyze lasting change in our city, focus on disproportionately affected communities, and have a clear plan to demonstrate impact. |

What milestones would you use to measure your project’s progress? | Units completed: We will measure the progress of each resident by tracking a task that the individual once was not competent enough to complete the task. to work his or her knowledge to the point where the task is being completed. Incremental milestone: we will expect the residents to complete certain tasks in an orderly fashion. Start/Finish: This method is focusing on starting points of an individual and an ending point. To simply see some type of progress from each and every resident. Experience Opinion: This method is coming from the staff and or management opinions on each resident's growth and development over a specific period of time. |
How would you ensure accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle? | The publication of key data points in the area of child welfare, children's behavioral health, and early childhood education. These metrics will be publicly available to continue to move our work forward. to ensure that all Chattanooga Tennessee children and families are safe, stable, happy, and healthy. All reports will be displayed in a consistent format and allow users to review current data. Users will be able to access county or district-level data. The data will be updated monthly. |
If successful, how would your project benefit the community? | Our project will benefit the community by increasing status and stature in the community, increased self-discipline and time management, insight into the multiple roles of adulthood, and broader career choices. |
How will you attract community buy-in for your project? | We will attract the community by engaging in the community and sharing our vision. We will inform and educate the public about our project and its construction. We will also bring to life the mission vision and core values of the development. We will join neighborhood events and also volunteer in opportunities in the community. We will show the progress of the residents that's in our current program. We will also attend public meetings. |
