Please Describe Your Project In DetailLimited Edition RISE Women Empowerment Project: 6 Monthly workshops and events that support, reinforce and promote the women of community to engage in positive and informed resolutions to the life challenges that have been inflated due to the Covid19 pandemic. Below are the 6 topics and challenges we will conquer and how:

1. Woman Empowerment Seminar- Community engagement that supports women empowerment through educating on value and accountability.
2. Wellness seminar- Community engagement that will inform and encourage women on mental, physical, and spiritual health.
3. Business planning workshop- one day workshop equipping women with the skills to write out a business plan and informing them on financial literacy and budgeting.
4. Motherhood: The Ultimate Leadership Training- seminar providing parenting support and tips to successfully navigate through the new normal of parenting in a pandemic.
5. Community service walk (Domestic Violence Awareness)- Community engagement that will bring awareness and resources on the increase of domestic violence since the beginning of this pandemic.
6. Evening Retreat for Women (Prosperity Pajama Party)- Community engagement highlighting community success and providing resources and support to empower others to do the same.
Please explain how your project meets the requirements of the American Rescue PlanStatics support that this pandemic has disproportionately impacted women. More than a quarter of women reported increased stress, anxiety and other mental health struggles. Not only has the labor increased for women in the frontline, but domestic violence and violence against women have increased since quarantine, too. another mental health hardship women have faced since the start of COVID-19 has been related to family stress. With many schools rapidly opening and closing, many mothers have had disproportionately more stress and responsibilities, including home-schooling children, all while managing their own psychological responses to COVID-19. This project is important in that it meets the needs while exposing the resources available to women to conquer this tough transition our community is currently facing.

What portion of the project are you asking the city to fund?
If funded, when would your project start?July 1, 2022
How long would your project take to complete?6 months
What milestones would you use to measure your project’s progress? Each engagement will have to meet the four influences of growth that we support as an organization; refine, impact, support, and empowerment. In refining, the engagement must enhance transparency, improve quality and polish practicality of achieving the subject matter. In impact, there must be reinforcement of how this engagement will influence growth in the community. In support, each engagement must provide resources on the specific topic. Lastly, through empowerment, each engagement should give opportunity to share the experience with others.
How would you ensure accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle? We will provide monthly updates on of those assisted and resources provided, showing engagement and impact. These updates will be made accessible to the public.
If successful, how would your project benefit the community? When this project is successful, more women will understand their value to our community and how to actively engage in the challenges our community is facing. They will be equipped with the knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life and community. These women will be empowered to become apart of the resolution to community conversations.
How will you attract community buy-in for your project?Buy-in has already been in development with previous service to the community, and will continue with testimonials and transparency about the value this project brings to improving ones life. Along with the monthly updates, use of the different media and social platforms will increase exposure of the impact from these engagements.
Is there anything else you would like us to know about your project? This project is not only a passion but necessary to the community of Chattanooga. As we grow in diversity and wellness, we must understand the value women have in that progress. We acknowledge this by providing the support, resources and reinforcement in health/wellness, business, and social awareness.
