Please Describe Your Project In Detail | CCLA is an expanded high-quality childcare providing safe and supportive care for children especially for essential workers. Staff needs to offer paid time off for COVID employees. At this time, the company cannot afford to offer health care, or substantial sick time for employees to either be tested or recover from COVID 19. It is a hardship for staff when they become ill or their children become ill or come in close contact with someone with COVID. It is hard to retain employees without being able to offer this. We serve 98 children a day, so we also want to enhance or cleaning efforts to a professional cleaning company coming in nightly. In addition, making conditions for staff much better will increase the long lasting impacts on children's education. Lastly, I would like to use this funding to send teachers to complete CDA certifications- this will enhance evidence-based educational services and practices to address the academic needs of students as well as create job security (requirements for 3star quality childcare teachers are changing, but staff doesn't have the financial ability to secure the certifications needed) which will elevate poverty, loss of jobs, and will help in low socioeconomic households. |
Please explain how your project meets the requirements of the American Rescue Plan | The American Rescue Plan address educational disparities, promoting health childhood environments, and costs to retain employees for small businesses. |
