| Please Describe Your Project In Detail | My project includes help farming for CBD goods. I will employ 2-4 farmers and provide grow training to those farmers to harvest a crop this evening. I’ve partnered with CBD wholesalers in Stone Mountain, GA to grow a portion of the crop they need to conduct their business. Grow season starts in February/March bd typically concludes in November. |

This screeching halt didn’t allow Shemp Botanicals, LLC to harvest any crop for the past couple of years due to both labor and supplies shortage. |

| What milestones would you use to measure your project’s progress? | The milestones for harvesting hemp crop is fairly simple…visual assessments of each plant is necessary to ensure the crop is healthy and disease-free. Also, THC testing will take place periodically to ensure we stay within the legal limits of hemp growing. |
| How would you ensure accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle? | Very detailed operations will be documented. What is expected of each employee will be details and thoroughly reviewed. I will maintain and open door policy for any concerns one may have to ensure integrity is kept at the forefront of the project. There will also be a space for anonymous feedback, reporting etc. We will have daily morning huddles to go over our daily goals, etc. |
| If successful, how would your project benefit the community? | This project will not only serve as employment opportunities, but will also be a good hands-on learning experience for potential farmers. The cannabis industry is very lucrative and farming is a great trade to have as the industry is constantly evolving as legislation changes on a local level. |
| How will you attract community buy-in for your project? | Buy local!! Chattanooga thrives off local goods. I have also budgeted in advertisement dollars to support a local farm, owned by an African-American woman who was the first licensed Black female hemp farmer in TN! |
